Efren looked at the leaves. Meat sounded good. But no, he was here to learn about other delicacies of the land. Efren took a leave and ate it. It was bitter to him at first, but then as he chewed it, it tasted better. "Its nah too bad, if I say so myself. A bit different than what I'm used to, but I could get used to it."
Efren ate another leave. What he wouldn't give for a bit of beer. He kept eating the leaves until he was content. "So, about the trades. We dwarfs could perhaps mend your armor to make it more durable. My armor may look thick and make it seem I couldn't move fast, but looks can be deceiving. We have our heavy armored folk in the mountains. I prefer to keep my movement."

A guard approached, carrying a bowl of the leaves from the trees in Elvandir.
"Guests are welcome to all the food they can eat. We eat these leaves, as they are nutritious and abundant. However, you may not have much taste for them. If it is your wish, I can send a Ranger to find some meat."

Efren nodded. "Trade would be good. Wood is scarce in the mountains, and is very useful for us. If you would like, I could send word to bring a sample of the nectar of the gods. Peace, and knowledge is all I can really ask for. We dwarfs don't know much about the world, and we would like to see it for what it really is, not what we believe it is."
Efren's stomach rumbled "Eh heh, what kind of food would ye be willing to trade?"

"We Elves create our weapons magically, and our buildings are all of wood, so we have little use for your stone or ore. Perhaps you would be interested in purchasing Elven wood or food? Maybe even knowledge? The Elves have extensive knowledge of the world. As for peace, that I can give."
Ilthir looked down at the image of Alkartir in the bowl of water, and mentally relayed him all that was happening. Ilthir responded, A dwarf? In Tal'gathir? I never thought I would live to see the day. Well, treat him well, they may be nothing like us, but they where still made by the Gods, and they still deserve our respect, until they prove themselves unworthy.

Efren took a seat as the elf brought him a chair. "Thank ye."
He turned his attention to the man sitting beside the throne. "I am King Efren Okar of the Dwarfs. I'm on a personal quest I have set for myself. I would like to make peace with all the nations of this world, and perhaps learn other traditions then my own. We have a newly opened mine, and are currently excavating for metals, who knows what we shall find. I am one of the few of my people that can speak other languages. Despite my young appearance, I have learned a lot in my short years. I'd like to propose a trade of some kind, If it is in your desire to trade with the dwarfs."

The elf led him to the throne room, where Ilthir sat on a notably less adorned chair beside the throne itself, with a small table that has a bowl of water on it, in front of him. Ilthir motioned for a guard to bring the guest a chair.
"Greetings, what may the humble race of the Elves do for you?"

Efren thanked the elf, and followed him to the bathing area, where he was left alone. He undressed and got in the hot bath. It wasn't like the ones at home, which were heated using small amounts of lava, but it was soothing, and it felt great on tired muscles. After about ten minutes, he got out, and dressed.
Efren walked out of the door, and an elf waited for him there. "I'm ready..."

The elf laughed, "A bathing dwarf? My friend, the bards will sing of you for ages to come." The elf gestured into the building, "Come, I will arrange for a hot bath, and a meeting with the Steward." A few minutes later, a servant led the dwarf to the bathing room, and waited outside to show him back to the Throne Room, where Ilthir waited.

Efren looked at the two elves that came towards him. His axe was slung over his shoulder in a non threatening manner"Well, I'm on a quest I have set for myself. I would like to make peace with the nations of this world, and wish to learn all that I can while I'm so far from home. I have come here in order to perhaps speak of trade and perhaps be granted of some knowledge."
