The House Vestrit rules an island constisting out of large forests and a rocky coast. The islanders are human and are rulled by the Valheru. The Valheru are a race, physically not very different from normal humans but the dragonblood in their veins and the magic they receive from grants them more then a human is capable of.

Their culture exist out of an unique combination of a tough life and the Valheru religion. Ypres, the only city at the Island is ruled by the different Valheru-families who are bound to the Royal House. The Vestrits has ruled the Royal House for centuries and it seems they will ruled it for another few ages. It's a big family a bit to compare with a Roman family. The young men earn their respect and honour in duels and tournaments. The hierarchie of the families exist out of age. Belial, the king rules his kingdom with absolute power. He's the first and only son of Lyron who died a few years ago. Next to the king, are his cousin Draken-Korin and uncle Ashen-Shugar the mightiest lords.

They have been able to grow to a mighty culture of warriors due there religion which makes them not to fear death cause when they die into battle, glory and honour in the after-life will be their gain. They believe in only two gods. Rythar, the Goddess of Order and Mythar, the God of Chaos. They admire Rythar in religion services as Goddess of life, peace, love, the land,.... In opposite there's Mythar, he's the God of death, war, fury, thunder and the sea. The Valheru and their people see warring as something to please Mythar. To earn the right of a life after death they live to serve both gods, as both decide together if you've earned a life after death or will have to go back to earth into a new body to try over. This is called “The Unity of Opposites” and is the basic of the Valheru-religion. Interesting is the influence of the religion on their way of thinking. Immorality common in their behaviour. A Valheru shall easily kill a farmer, his wife and children if the farmer isn't able to pay his taxes because a bad farmer isn't of use for them. On the opposite if some soldiers should (lastig vallen) a woman, a Valheru would definitely attack and kill the soldiers. Not to safe the woman, just because of the fact the soldiers has given him a slight reason to attack them and train his fighting skills.

The only competition between the Valheru families is how many claims they can do on great victories and fallen enemies. A Valheru loves to go into war with a smaller amount of men then the enemy cause after all...a victory then means bigger glory and honour then defeat an enemy of your own size.

===== The Book of Unity =======
( The sacred book of the Krondorian religion)

By the prophet Beolii of the Serpii-family, Introduction of the Book of Unity

Krondorians need laws that will unite them into a tight knot. For the pillaging to stop and mothers to want to bear children.

The Krondorian punishment will be one! Death!

To the one to raise a sword on children and women. Death!

To the one who refuses a traveler food and shelter. Death!

To the one who buys stolen goods. Death!

To the one who kills a messenger. Death!

To the one who throws down his weapon during a fight. Death! Death to him and ten of his comrades!

Should ten run away, death to one hundred!

Should a thousand run away, death to all Krondorians.

By the prophet Ternii of the Serpii-family, part 2, verse 14-19

Hands of doom are reaching out to crush all infidels who stray
Time to know the pain, no time to run within
And these hands you see before you will end the light of day
Your ashes will be cast into the wind
Your blood's upon the soil, your body fed to wolves
Not one of you will be left alive
