Elves where the first intelligent race to walk the earth. Elves take the same amount of time to grow up as humans, but their lifestyle is somewhat more slow pased, so they aren't considered adults till about 40, though in times of war elves could be battle ready by 16. They have spent most of their existence wandering the forests, and have only recently settled down and built a city. Elves are herbivores by nature, and only eat the leaves of the trees in their forest. (They can eat any plant, but they have a preference for this particular leaf.) Elves are peaceful by nature, but they tend to be somewhat paranoid, and nearly every elf is as good of a fighter as the average human soldier (if not better). Elven cities are built in such a way that they are hidden, and the casual passer by isn't likely to spot them (they have an effective sneak level of 4). Elves usualy wear green clothes that blends well with the forest. Casters prefer long, flowing, and multiple layered clothes. Elves do not produce goods in the way normal humans would, they do everything through magic, casting spells on the trees to get them to grow a certain way, or magically take wood from the trees without harming them. Through this, they can build cities that blend very well with the surrounding forest. Elves train in combat using dulled swords, not mere wooden training swords, as they need to learn to fight on even when hurt (even though training blades only bruise, not cut, it still prepares them somewhat, and the weight is far more realistic) Elves do not have laws, but rather are all guided by the same sense of morality. There is no such thing as an evil elf, just as the wind will never change, so will the elves always be the same. If someone does something that elves deem immoral, and it has a severe impact on the elves, they will show the person "elven justice". No court, no judge, no jury. You will die, no amount of lies and deceit will save you. Elves are big into the idea of self improvement, this is partially the reason they are so much more skilled then other races. They live every moment of their lives to improve themselves, if possible. Because of this, elves seldom ride horses, as they deem riders weak, and consider running more useful, since it doesn't require another living being for you to be able to do it.
Weapons and Armor
Most common amongst elves is the Moonblade, a one handed dual bladed sword. Elves also fight with longbows, and wear scalemail armor, with each scale artfully shaped like a leaf. Elven Shadow Cloaks vary in appearance and quality, but they all share one general feature: they make the wearer perfectly camouflaged with the world around them, the shifting is instantly and flawless, movement is nearly invisible while this is up, however, keen eyes can spot it from up close. Unfortunately, it does nothing about sound. Cloaks are usually activated by a mental command. Shadow Cloaks used by White Blades have the option to make the wearers ears appear like that of a human.
Elves have roughly a population of 20,000.

White Blades (of the Forest)
The White Blades are the elven assassins, working as spies, informers, and obviously, assassins, for the elven race. The organization is very small, and there are few recruits, and training is a slow process. Because of this, the White Blade Assassins are very skilled, and are very effective at what they do. White Blade Assassins are picked not only based on physical skill and agility, but by another, more strange, but more useful, reason: they have the most humanlike features of all the elves. White Blade Assassins bear white, unadorned (uncommon for an elf) clothing to help them blend in, combined with their chosen features, and a hood, a White Blade Assassin seems like a hooded human. Their clothes can be very easily slightly altered to make them look like priests of Quintessence. White Blade members identify themselves by saying "Si Shori Shadi molaer aeraesar.", and making a specific hand gesture.
They have a very distinct rank system, and an assassin's rank is important in the organization, as the higher ranking assassins' word is law to a lower ranking assassin.
Novice
Novice White Blade Assassins wear only a white vest, pants and boots. Novices are learning the very basics that come before even picking up a blade. They are taught anatomy, foreign customs, and to be experts at climbing, jumping, and running.
Apprentice
The Apprentice White Blade Assassins wear a white hood, vest, pants, and boots. They bear a training blade. Apprentices are trained in blade combat and assassination. They learn the Edge of the Storm battle style, and many slightly modified human combat styles.
Initiate
Initiate White Blade Assassins are fully trained members, but have not yet proven themselves. They wear a white shirt, pants with many draping pieces of white cloth, many of which are specially made so that the assassin can slightly alter the way he wears his clothes, making it appear that he is a priest (the mundane equivalent of a cleric (note: wizard servants use this too, but mundane followers are more commonly called "priests"))of Quintessence. Initiate Assassins bear a blade, and many hidden daggers, specially crafted by the wizards to appear not green, but a silvery white, similar to that of mithril, unfortunately, the altering of a blade's colour adds five hours to the casting process.
Blade
An experienced member, with the same equipment as initiates (that's the standard gear for full members).
Greater Blade
An experienced member
Grand Blade
The leader.
